The Hebrew words “Miktam,” “Maskil,” “Shiggaion,” “Higgaion,” and “Selah” appear in the Psalms and their meanings are lost us. The first three words may provide musical instructions to the choirmaster. “Higgaion” may refer to a type of meditation or melody. “Selah” possibly indicates an instrumental interlude between stanzas. |
