One of our core beliefs is that the Lord desires all of us, His children, to be on a journey of faith. As both individuals and a community, we should never think of ourselves as accomplished or having arrived at our final destination.
Instead, seek out the next step that the Lord has for us in terms or our growth and learning. At First United Methodist of Colleyville, our congregation is committed to creating the opportunities for children, youth, and adults to become rooted and grow in their faith and their lives.
We hope this can happen for individuals, but we also expect growth to happen as a community, always seeking to increase our understanding and our community as God would move us forward.
Raising the next generation of Believers and Servants! Through a wide variety of missions, music, arts and crafts, puppetry, discipleship, and just plain fun, our children are learning the fundamentals of our faith while developing a strong spiritual foundation.
Our Youth are a vital integrated part of the church community. We have a large, very energetic Youth group which experiences Christ through a variety of activities including movie nights, mission trips, just hanging out and the Youth Band.
Growing and developing our faith is not just for the children. As individuals and as a community, we should never think of ourselves as accomplished or having arrived at our destination, but rather we are always seeking the next step God has for our learning and growth.
Wednesday Wesley meals are an important part of our congregational life at FUMC. Mealtimes provide opportunities for us to connect with one another. The Wesley Meal also provides an opportunity for various groups in the church to raise money for their mission. Follow the link on this page to sign your group up for a Wesley Meal!
