Run for Rescue is an annual 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk that supports the Child Rescue Centrein Sierra Leone, Africa. Run for Rescue is a great race for all levels of runners and walkers. We have some very fast runners (very), some great teams, lots of runners who keep their hand in by running regularly, and quite a few people that make this their one race per year. We also have folks that bring their dogs, run with strollers – some of whom are very fast, and others that enjoy a good walk.
The Run for Rescue has joined forces with the Colleyville Chamber, Colleyville Heritage High School March for Water, and the Colleyville Lions Club xSIGHTment Run to launch the inaugural Colleyville 5K Championship Series. Runners of all three events will compete for C5KCS cash awards. https://thedriven.net/cw/colleyville-5k-championship-series/
Who is This Event For?
The Child Rescue Centre (CRC) which was established in July 2000 during the country’s 10-year civil war has become a nationally-recognized model for bringing up at-risk children to become leaders.
