GRACE is a food pantry and emergency assistance organization that serves residents of Grapevine, Southlake, and Colleyville. FUMC Colleyville has a long history of supporting GRACE through regular monthly donations of peanut butter and saltine crackers, participating in the Thanksgiving basket drive, and volunteering in the food pantry and in the Graceful Buys resale shop.
GRACE SHOPPING LIST
The recent recession has dramatically increased the number of people who depend on Grace for emergency food assistance. In response, the Missions and Fellowship UMW compiles each month a list of items which are in low supply at Grace. The list changes each month.
We invite you to print off this handy shopping list for your family's grocery needs. The needs of Grace for the month are also listed. Please consider picking up a couple items for Grace as you shop for your family. All items can be brought to the church where they will be picked up and delivered to Grace on a weekly basis. Here is the link to the Shopping List.
FEED OUR KIDS
We also participate in the "Feed Our Kids" program during the summer that serves children who rely on the free lunch program during the school year, but find themselves hungry when school is out of session.
The GRACE Food Pantry is in need of:
kids' snacks for Feed Our Kids
Individual chip or cookie packages
Snacks in case packs
Capri Sun / Juice packs
Small water bottles
Large Juice Drinks (Grape, OJ, Pineapple)
Pasta Sauce, can or glass
Coffee (ground, in can or bag)
Sugar (4 lbs bag)
Diapers (size 5 and 6)
HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE
Each year, GRACE assembles baskets for a turkey dinner with all the fixings for its clients. The requests change each year so check back here during the holidays to see what our church has been requested to supply. Collection boxes are located in the lobby (by the elevator) and in the hallway by the Music Offices. What a great way to spread the joy of the season!
