    Blue Christmas Service

    This year, we will be holding a Blue Christmas service on Sunday 12/15 at 5pm.  This service of remembrance, healing and hope offers a safe space for anyone feeling lost or alone during the holidays. It welcomes all backgrounds, denominations and struggles, providing support and encouragement through music, prayer and messages of hope.

    Join us in the Sanctuary for service at 5pm.  Following, you will have the option to walk our Prayer Labyrinth for quiet meditation

    This year, we are blessed and thrilled to celebrate a remarkable milestone—our 100th anniversary at First United Methodist Church of Colleyville. It is with immense joy and gratitude that we invite you to join us for this special occasion.

    Our centennial celebration will feature a heartfelt worship service with special guests, inspiring music, and cherished fellowship with our vibrant church community. Following the service, we are excited to host a Thanksgiving lunch at the church, where we will come together to give thanks for the past, embrace the present, and look forward to the future.

    We have so much to be thankful for this year, and can’t wait to commemorate our history, celebrate our achievements, and envision the journey ahead.

    Rise Against Hunger

    FUMCC is packing meals to help end world hunger, and we would love your help.

    The Rise Against Hunger event will be on Saturday, November 16 in the Event Center.  There are different volunteer opportunities between 8:30am to 1:30pm for setup, meal packing and clean up.  You can participate in all three shifts or just one or two.

    Kids ages 7 and up can participate, and friends and families are welcome to volunteer!  Please plan to wear a hat or tie your long hair back.  Click HERE for more information or to sign up

    Remembering the Holocaust

    The Jewish Federation of Fort Worth & Tarrant County and FUMC Colleyville invite you to join us on Sunday, November 10 at 6 PM for a presentation from Anna Eisen. Anna will share her family’s Holocaust story; her father was in several concentration camps and some of his drawings from those years will be shown as part of the presentation.

    It’s time for FUMC Colleyville’s annual Trick or Treat Party!  This free event includes hot dogs and popcorn, games, a treat walk and so much trick or treating! Join us from 5-7 pm on Sunday October 27 in the church Event Center.  Costumes not required but we’d love to see your creative costumes and best Halloween style!

    Let’s Taco ’bout QPR

    QPR – Question, Persuade, and Refer – is a suicide prevention training designed to give every person in our community the confidence and competence to help someone at risk for suicide. Anyone can learn how to recognize the warning signs, offer hope and get help.

    Learn about the important work of The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation and get trained in QPR while you enjoy FREE TACOS! Join us in the church Event Center on Tuesday October 15 at 6pm.  Register HERE.

    Neighborhood Table

    On Wednesday October 9, join us in the event center at 6 PM for neighborhood Table. The meal is hosted by United Women in Faith (UMW) and will feature casseroles, sides, and desserts. You won’t want to meet miss out on all their homemade treats! A suggested donation for dinner is $7 per person or $20 for a family of three or more.

     

    And next week’s Neighborhood Table kicks off our donation drive for GRACE Grapevine’s Christmas Cottage. If you’d like to participate, please bring an unwrapped toy or stuffed animal to dinner.
