    Rise Against Hunger

    FUMCC is partnering with the Colleyville Rotary Club to pack meals to help end world hunger, and we would love your help! The Rise Against Hunger event will be on Saturday, April 23 from 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in the Event Center. To sign up to volunteer, follow this link. Anyone ages 5 and up can participate, and friends and families are welcome to volunteer.

    In a year where we all need the hope of life and resurrection, we invite you to join us for our Holy Week and Easter services! All of the services, except the Easter sunrise services, will be hybrid, which means that you can participate in person or online.

    • Maundy Thursday- Thursday April 14th at 7:00 p.m. in the Event Center and online

      • If you are worshiping with us online, please gather bread and juice for communion.

    • Good Friday- Friday April 15th at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary and online

    • Easter Sunday April 17

      • 7:00 a.m. Sunrise Service in the prayer garden
      • 9:00 a.m. Traditional Service in the Sanctuary and online
      • 11:11 a.m. Contemporary Service in the Event Center and online

    Family Ties: A New Sunday School Class for Kids and Their Families

    Exciting news!!! Family Ties, a Sunday School class for kids and their families will be starting on March 27th at 10:00 in the Kids Connect Room. This is a new approach where kids and their parents or grandparents can be in Sunday School together. We will have time together and then adults and kids will breakout for part of the lesson.     Praying Our Way Through Lent 2022

    Sundays March 6-April 10 from 10:15-11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary- Pastor Mike is leading a Lenten Prayer Retreat called Praying Our Way Through Lent. We will listen for God’s voice as we pray scripture in class and will use an ancient prayer tool called the Examen Prayer during the week to help us nurture the Fruit of the Spirit [i.e., love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

    Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, and it is a service for us to confront our own mortality and confess our sin before God within a community of faith. We will offer two Ash Wednesday services on Wednesday, March 2. One will be at 12:00 p.m., and the other one will be at 7:00 p.m. The 12:00 p.m. will be in person only, and the 7:00 p.m. service will be hybrid (in-person and online). After the 12:00 p.m. service, we will serve soup for lunch.

    Connect Class

    All guests and new members are invited to attend our Connect Class, which is a short-term study designed to help people understand what it means to belong to FUMCC. We offer this four-week class to equip and inform those who are thinking about becoming members of FUMCC and those who recently joined. Our next Connect Class will be from Sunday, February 27 at 10:00 a.m. in the Bassett Conference Room and online. We will cover topics such as spiritual life, United Methodist Church history and beliefs, spiritual gifts, and membership at FUMCC. To sign up for this class, please click here.

    Getting Grief Right: A Grief Support Group

    This five-week study will provide a caring environment for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Together we will work our way through Getting Grief Right by Patrick O’Malley. This support group will help participants to better understand the dynamics of grief, find hope and healing through Christ, and experience a sense of community through contact with others in similar situations. This group will meet for five weeks on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in FL106, beginning Tuesday, January 18. This group is facilitated by Jennifer Lemke, LCSW.  To register, please click here.
